Penguins Swimming Academy offers children’s swimming lessons and parent and toddler sessions in Great Glen, Leicester. We provide high quality teaching and a safe, friendly environment for your child to learn to swim, we have a long term vision on how to improve the standard of swimming within Leicestershire. We believe in providing an environment for children that makes progress inevitable.
Technique Orientated
We are linked closely with SwimTherapy, who are established as Europe’s premier swim technique centre.
Qualified, experienced teachers
We employ predominantly Level 2 Teachers, and have 3 helpers in the water for Turtles, and 1 for Little Blue.
All Year Round Lessons
We only close over Christmas, ensuring your children receives the continuity necessary to achieve their goals
Small, Focused Classes
Our standard classes have a max size of 5 children, allowing your child to receive the attention they need to progress – most swim schools average 8-10 children per class.
Our Swimming Pool
Penguins Swimming Academy’s swimming lessons are based at Leicester Grammar School in Great Glen. We believe our pool is the perfect environment for your child to both be introduced to swimming, and train towards more competitive swimming.
Quiet Environment
Its always bright with ceiling height windows spanning 2 walls of the pool. The pool has naturally good acoustics so is relatively quiet with minimal echoing, much less intimidating for our young swimmers.
Competitive Opportunities
Immediately after some days of lessons the Academy Tigers train. This offers a brilliant opportunity for parents and children of our Academy to experience and introduce themselves to competitive swimming.
Private Pool
When we run our lessons, the whole 25m pool is dedicated solely to our Academy.
Great Location
Our pool is easy to access with ample free parking.
